Dog and cat food exports from the United States to Chile have nearly tripled since 2015, from US$13 million to more than US$36 million in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS). The agency forecast that retail sales of dog food in Chile will increase 29% to more than US$1 billion annually by 2027.
