Grupo Molino Chacabuco, a leader in the Argentine pet food industry, has launched a specialized dry food for spayed/neutered cats, emphasizing its dedication to innovation and quality in pet nutrition.
This new offering, designed for spayed and neutered cats over six months old, helps manage body weight, supports the immune system with prebiotics, and promotes urinary health with balanced minerals.
This product introduction is part of a broader revitalization of the RAZA cat food line, now featuring assorted flavors enriched with omegas, prebiotics and an additional protein boost. According to a report by Kantar, as cited in the press release from Grupo Molino Chacabuco, the trend toward pet ownership has grown, particularly in urban areas where smaller living spaces and lifestyle preferences favor cat ownership. Cats are increasingly seen as ideal urban pets due to their independent nature and minimal exercise needs.
The report highlights a significant increase in pet presence within homes across Argentina, with pet ownership rising from 70% to 80% over the past year. Households with both dogs and cats have increased from 24% to 28%. This shift has made the quality of pet food more crucial than ever, with pet owners meticulously choosing products that enhance their pets’ quality of life.
Rodrigo Vasquez Millán, marketing manager at Grupo Molino Chacabuco, emphasized the midlevel market leadership of its RAZA brands for dogs and cats. “Customers will find a broad assortment of dry, wet foods and snacks, including innovative products such as meat stews and snack bars in our product range,” said Millán. “Innovation and quality remain uncompromising principles in every project.”
Furthering its commitment to pet gratification and nutrition, RAZA has expanded its line to include new snacks and wet foods for both dogs and cats. These innovations, highlighted in the company’s press release, demonstrate Grupo Molino Chacabuco’s strategy to incorporate advanced elements like probiotics, dehydrated vegetables, extra omegas and proteins. The packaging also focuses on sustainability, using recyclable materials.
Grupo Molino Chacabuco’s RAZA brand, established more than 25 years ago, has expanded its market presence not only in Argentina but also in neighboring countries such as Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. The brand is known for complying with both national and international quality standards and regulatory processes, and it holds certifications like HACCP 45001. Additionally, RAZA is committed to environmental stewardship, evidenced by its adherence to ISO 14000 standards.
