On May 20, 2025, Adimax opened its factory in Mandirituba, Paraná, in southern Brazil, just outside Curitiba. This R$140 million investment (approximately US$24.8 million) adds 7,000 tons per month of production capacity to its network, marking the company’s sixth site in Brazil. Just a year ago, Adimax inaugurated its fifth plant in Feira de Santana, Bahia.
Cementing leadership in a thriving market
Founded in 2002, Adimax has grown into Brazil’s second-largest pet food manufacturer, operating five other plants in São Paulo, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais, Goiás, and Bahia. With Mandirituba online, Adimax will surpass Premier Pet — which runs two mega-plants — to become the country’s top producer by capacity. Moreover, Adimax gains a competitive edge from its other facilities, which are strategically distributed across Brazil’s diverse regions.
At Mandirituba, the company will produce its flagship brands — Fórmula Natural, Origens, Magnus and Qualidy — strengthening supply throughout the South and Southeast regions and boosting exports across South America. Beyond volume, Adimax also leads in sustainability by integrating at least 30 percent post-consumer recycled PET into its packaging.
Leveraging strategic location for growth
Mandirituba sits at the heart of Paraná’s agribusiness corridor, adjacent to major highways that ensure swift delivery to key markets — especially Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
On the trade front, Brazil exported some 85,500 tons of dog and cat food in 2024 (about $100 million) to several countries, led by Uruguay, Colombia, Bolivia, Chile and Paraguay.
This logistical advantage will support rapid scaling as Adimax eyes further expansions. In the coming years, Mandirituba is poised to evolve into a premier export hub — solidifying Adimax’s leadership in the Latin American pet nutrition sector.
By adding Mandirituba, Adimax not only boosts its domestic capacity but also positions itself to capture additional market share both at home and abroad.
